FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
At Sunny Speech Services, we do not directly accept insurance; however, we provide detailed super bills for each session that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to understand your benefits and coverage for out-of-network therapy services. Our goal is to make the process as smooth as possible, and we’re happy to assist you with any questions regarding billing or reimbursement.
What can I expect from an evaluation?
At Sunny Speech Services, a typical evaluation includes a comprehensive history review, informal observations, questionnaires, and formal standardized testing. After the evaluation, we’ll review our findings and discuss a plan for future visits if additional treatment is recommended. During your child’s first treatment session, we’ll go over the results of the evaluation, answer any questions you may have, and ensure that you feel confident with the personalized therapy plan moving forward.
What can I expect from therapy?
Therapy sessions are one-on-one and can be provided via teletherapy or in the home. Frequency and duration are depend on your child’s individual needs, but typically are 30-45 minutes in length once or twice per week. At the end of each session, your child’s therapist will review the focus of the session, provide suggestions for at-home practice, and share materials to support continued progress. We also encourage family involvement in the therapy process, should you wish to participate.
